Educational Resource and Development Center Nepal (ERDCN)

ERDCN has developed a digital learning portal named Looma education. This is particularly designed to serve the community school children. It has developed a Nepali medium learning portal in coordination with Curriculum Development Center (CDC).  It is a very useful and user-friendly learning portal to assist children’s learning. ERDCN in coordination with CEHRD and CDC supported to resume of disrupted education among community schools during the pandemic with the help of a digital learning portal https://learning.cehrd.edu.np  

During the pandemic, ERDCN using the ICT platform (zoom) conducted a series of training on the methodology of digital teaching/use of digital learning portal named Looma education/looma.website to school teachers, school management committee including some of the students.

The main objectives of the Looma Education (LE) Project are as follows.

• Support to promote online education with the help of Looma software and hardware across the program support areas.
• Support to develop online Teaching Learning Materials (TLM), Skill Development Training for Teachers, and other relevant technical support.
• Support for mainstreaming of hard-core background children through Looma education.
• Support in setting up child-friendly learning environments in schools.
